Why is it that people who wear glasses look inteligent?

I think that they do not necessarily look intelligent, it's just that we have been programmed to automatically think they look intelligent

Usually people who are intelligent, read a great deal. Therefore, they are the ones who most frequently notice problems with their eyesight and get their eyes checked and wear glasses. More inteligent people wear glasses, therefore, we think most people wearing glasses are intelligent. (something like that?)
