You need a big boot and a red hat.....
Now remember, when you get to the top of that hill jump twice on the spot and spin round. Spin. You got that.
Sorry dude, I'm just messing. [Oops, Solomon said we shouldn't do that......] Soz.

I have a young ferret myself. you'll find that 100% accuracy is pretty much impossible, but you can attempt for the 80. I find that my ferret also hates corner pans, she prefers the squared high backed ones, they cost about the same as the corner ones. are you trying to train the ferret to go in the cage or around the house? if around the house, you should try keeping the ferret in a smaller area (like one room) for awhile. if she makes a mistake, put what you can into the litter box, and use a cleaner that doesn't have ammonia to clean up the smell. (if they smell stuff there already they'll go there again) also, reward with a treat when they get it right. as the ferret gets better at it, give them more space. it takes a lot of patience, and a litter box in every room. its also a good idea to put the ferrets bedding or food dishes in other corners, they won't go where they eat or sleep. good luck!! :)
oh, for litter, try yesterdays news, its low dust, which is the best kind for ferrets

Try putting the Ferret's fecal matter in the box. This will show the Ferret that is where it should go. This worked for my rabbit. If it is a baby Ferret, it will work. If the Ferret is older, it might be set in its ways.
For the litter I recommend "Purina Yesterday's News Small Animal Bedding and Litter". The price ranges from $8.99 to $14.99 depending on the size of the bag. This is the best litter ever.

Well how big is the ferret first of all? Some ferrets don't like those corner boxes because they can't fit their entire bodies in it. I would go ahead and get a bigger box. It might save you a lot of headaches.
Ferrets usually need to go within about 15 minutes of waking up so when he gets up watch him. When he starts to back up in a corner with his tail up pick him up and put him in the box. Watch him go and when he goes praise him. Fuss him, pet him, give him a treat, really make a big deal out of it.
Whenever he goes somewhere else get some cleaner and clean the spot good. You want to make sure you get all the smell out. That will discourage him from going in that spot again.
Punishing him when he goes out of the box won't do any good either. It will only confuse him and rubbing his nose in it won't help because ferrets tend to go back and sniff their waste anyway.
Good luck. It might take some time but with patience the efforts will pay off. Just keep a lot of scotchgard handy.

Ok, you need to make sure that the box is big enough for him to do all his business in, that it has a sufficient amount of litter (I don't know if ferrets bury their crap like a cat or what haha, but it needs plenty of space and litter), it needs to be cleaned regularly.
You could try the method I use which has successfully litter trained many rabbits. When you catch them in the act you say 'NO' etc, tell them to 'Go in your box', then put their paw in their urine and take them directly to the box. They will soon get the idea after they have to lick the urine off their paw when they clean themselves, and with the repetition and reinforcement of 'go in the box'.
You also need to of course reward him when he does the right thing, never ever hurt him or get angry, that won't help, you need to always always treat an animal you are training with unconditional love. You catch more flies with honey after all.
I don't know much at all about ferrets, but I hope I may have helped.

Not all ferrets will litter train easily! The best thing to do is have a corner litterbox (high backed) and put it in the corner the ferret has chosen as his favorite poop spot. Do not use scoopable kitty litter as it is dangerous to ferrets. Yesterdays news or regular clay litter is best. Keep it very very clean! Here is a link to litter training ferrets that you will find very useful.

do no longer bathe them too generally (as quickly as each and every 3 months or so at maximum) they are asserting that ferrets will produce greater oils after being bathed...greater scent. No ferret is ever a hundred% clutter experienced. I actual have 2 clutter bins in my ferrets cage, besides as 3 of their play room. in case you will locate the place they are going, positioned a clutter field in that spot. once you sparkling the pans, do no longer sparkling them too good. you nevertheless choose the ferret to have the skill to sniff the place he has long previous. yet do sparkling extremely nicely the place he's no longer think to pass (desire that's smart)
