Is it too much to ask for them to only air on women's channels (Lifetime, Oxygen, etc.) so that we men don't have to see that garbage?

I don't think women enjoy seeing all those stupid and disgusting ads either. Why do they have to advertise them on TV at all? Years ago ads like that were not allowed on TV.
Women have to buy these products anyway, but who wants to watch the ads over breakfast?
The answer, m'dear, is probably MONEY!

The reason for all the commercials is to try and get women (and yes, sometimes the husbands if she can't go shopping) to buy their products.

i think women do get attracted towards all such attractive advertisement on the tv..they are lured by such schemes of better skin, good look, shiny hair color etc.. so they 70% run to stores to buy such goods. AND SO THE BEST WAY to sell and to attract people towards the product is to attract women.. they also tend to spread the news as fast as a lightening???

Well, those channels are catered to Women therefore they advertise for women, it is a women's shopping market out there.
