has anyone thought about what if the parents ARE innocent and someone actually did take maddy. that abducter is probably out there laughing their head off at us fussing over the mccanns.
i had that idea this morning as i was getting ready for work and i completely freaked me out!!
i know ppl have perceived me as being a total ***** towards the mccanns and i know i have. i just feel very strongly against child abuse and neglect. i'm sorry to anybody i insulted or offended.
i am now completely impartial (probably how i should have been the entire way through this).
just that thought freaked me out. plus maddy COULD still be alive! this abducter could be holding her somewhere making her watch her parents go though this hell and he could be telling maddy that her parents will get locked up. this abducter could easily get away with this awful crime.
anything could have happened ... nobody knows.

i was just drying my hair this morning and i was listening to another report about it on the news about them defending themselves and doing everything they can and it just occured to me...they COULD be innocent.
i was very small minded and just something snapped. i feel awful for what i have been saying about them.
i'm not saying i am supporting them, i am just impartial.

I think people are so angry with them for leaving their children alone,(yes neglectful) that in a way they want them to be responsible for her possible demise. Please god she is still alive, can you imagine (and none of know this) if they are innocent how awful the situation is. I can't think of a better word to describe how awful it must be.
There have been cases where children have been found after some time.
I was watching a show on itv last night (torn), I know its only a drama but it makes you think doesn't it. Little Ben Needham, his mother must pray that's what happened to him.
Everyday, they don't find a body, is a day with hope.

I admire you for coming on here and being so truthful. More so as you may get abuse from your anti fellows and get "We told you so" for speaking out. What you are saying is why I have 'sat of the fence' about this. I am not saying anyone should not have their own thoughts on the matter and I take interest in reading what people for and against the McCann's have to say. However. at this stage my views are (not expecting everyone to go along with them) that the media reports can very so much from channel to channel, newspaper to newspaper etc that how can any person out here really know when we are being told the truth of the matter? We just have to live in hope that one day we will have answers to this terrible situation.

Yeah - I felt sorry when you said you didn't give a **** about
the McCanns. But you are right. The one person that
everyone is forgetting is _MADELEINE. And she could be
sitting watching all this on a little black and white t.v. somewhere - while her abductor is laughing at the world.
It is best to be impartial, because there is so much being said
in the papers that yr head starts to spin. It makes you wonder
what to believe, as the days go by and something else comes
to light.

I think you're right. Who knows what's going on. Until we know the truth about where that poor little girl is and if she's ok, then I don't really care about the speculation. It's easy for the media to sway you one way or the other. It seems a lot harder for the police to actually try and find Maddy x

Hi Tinkerbell, good for you for admitting you might have been wrong - but isn't the truth of the matter that people could be wrong either way because none of us know what happened.
I personally have disliked the McCanns because I have always felt that they were trying to manipulate everything and I am not convinced the public will ever be told exactly where the money in the Fund goes which annoys me because so many people donated because they wanted to help them find Madeleine.
That aside I have remained on the fence as to whether they had any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance because at this moment in time I think it's impossible to know either way. I hope that if they were involved there is enough evidence to prove it and if they weren't involved - hell what a mess.

its not a case of pro,s and anti,its a case of the fact no one seems to be doing anything about the fact they left their children alone, they most probably would get more support if they admit what they did was wrong instead of everyone sidestepping the point,there arrogance in employing all these high profile people when they have not been charged,should spend the money trying to find Madeleine,people may be more sympathetic towards them..

Everyone is entitled to their opinion !
And I think when people keep refering to each other as Pro or Anti McCann's, it's very unhelpful..as i personally believe they possibly do know more than their saying but that is MY opinion from the information and gut feeling within me personally...i will not slag everyone else off simply because they may not share my view...We all have a different view of this awful situation..and we are all entitled to that ! !
Let's face it there really are several scenario's and possibilities of what could have happened on that dreadful night in May, so we are ALL only guessing..whether you think the McCann's are guilty of something or not...NONE of us know !!
BUT even more importantly..do not kid yourselves that the Portuguese Police will be following one route only..that being that the McCann's did it..cause i for one do not believe that...i think they are much cleverer than that..infact i wouldn't be at all surprised if the Kate McCann theory is a complete red herring...deliberately to maybe bring the real perpetrators to the surface or think their in the clear...that wouldn't shock me one little bit...so whatever anyones opinion is really has no relevance..after all we are not in Portugal and we haven't seen the evidence not only against the McCann's but let's not forget Robert Murat..he is still a suspect..and i would imagine there will be a few more shock's and surprises before this case is solved....so PLEASE let's not fall out with each other..we are supposed to be civilised people..living in a civilised country with rights to an opinion...be grateful for that !
And be grateful for the fact that this dreadful scenario is NOT happening to "You or I" ..the truth will prevail i have no doubt..and i think WE ALL may be in for a huge shock when it does !!!!

Well done for seeing that the parents may not be involved.....I dont know if they are or not; really......................BUT!! we cannot assume a persons guilt by what the media/papers tell us.
People need to keep an open mind and if they are guilty, eveidence will turn up and they will be convicted.
BUT I cannot condemn someone on hearsay.
We do not know this couple personally so how can any of us condemn them.
God knows why they left the kids.....that I can never understand.............but they did so there it is.
