I seem to recall a day when 900 iraqis died.

and I also hear death totals for Iraqis ranging from 1 million dead to as low as 30,000. Any links to what the truth is?

Yes there was a day when over 1000 Iraqis died while being bottlenecked on a bridge during a huge religious march. The day was August 31st 2005. The pilgrims numbering in over 1 million were marching towards the Al Kadhimiya Mosque which is the shrine of the Imam Musa al-Kazim, one of the twelve Shi'a Imams. They were spooked by insurgents firing automatic weapons and rocket propelled grenades. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis started to flee and the result was mass chaos and the horrific trampling of hundreds of peaceful citizens. But this has nothing to do with the occupation of U.S forces in the region. Many more thousands of Iraqis died under the evil hand of Saddam and his Bathist Party with the gassing of his own people, torture and other forms of non conformist religious cleansing.

any day when the pelosi reid regime tries to get legislation through congress leaving our troops dangling. they want and need a repeat of the funding repeal of viet nam so they can blame their failure on conservatives. the reason why i call that or any day like that the most deadly is that the real tragedy is allowing iran or al qaeda to take over iraq, killing a nation, when the real culprit is liberal extremism domestically.

you might have to piece that one together yourself since insurgents inflated the numbers or categorized some of their members as civilians.
