hi lexi that is true, but i would not have been one of them.
I would have seen to it that the twins were back home with extended family, and i would have stayed there until my child was found.
I would be still searching for the child , but then when you look back to the start , when did the maccanns ever look for Madeleine? cheers

There there and there, one more thing if they have such a thoughtful family and they are so united the family could look after the twins...
Or if they had good character and are so pure (to see the pope) they should tell the social services WE NEGLECTED OUR "LOVELY MADELEINE" and should be punished so take the twins to a good family because we don't care about our children.

I am a Father of 3 a 10 year old 7 & 3....I know I would have spent every penny I have used every resource and every moment in time looking. I would be beating the **** out of the police if my wife and I were considered guilty of a police aligation and I would not be seen dead talikng to the Pope or praying to any God. As far as I am concerned if there was a God nothing like this would be allowed to happen.

The McCanns have to believe 3 things now.

1. Madaline is safe with a caring family, with chance of reuniting with her.
2. She is Dead, at least they can move on as best they can.
3. She is being held by some pervert... one can only hope this is not the case.

They will be slated for all there actions. Stay in Portugal, Stay in England. They need to care for 2 other children. They need all the support they can get.

Bottom line is NEVER leave your kids alone, we have all done it 2 minutes here and there, but in a Foreign country I think not.

No Prayers, but my best wishes are with them.

It's very difficult for me to know what I would do - I've never been a parent. All I can judge by is how panicked I get if my cat is missing for a while - I can't imagine how I'd feel if it was my child. I do know I wouldn't have left my child without a responsible adult to look after her, but in this situation, I think I would have organised all my friends in the Algarve and got them to comb every inch of that place. I certainly would have used the internet to alert people to the situation and seek help, but I would not employ a PR person ever, nor would I visit the Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury or the Queen.

I would have used donations to the fund to pay private detectives to find her.

And yes, if I had other children I would have brought them home to the UK and sought comfort and support from my family until the little one was found.

I really hope she is found soon, wherever she is, and whoever is responsible for whatever happened to her, brought to justice.

In a complete and utter mess !
Im sure i would have stayed put..id have had to knock on every Portuguese Door/Apartment/Hotel/ Villa etc etc myself..and in between that i think i would be walking around the country side of Praia de Luz like a crazy woman digging dirt and moving stones with my bare hands frantically...trying to find my little girl !!
IM A MOTHER..not a police officer/press reporter/government representative come spokesman/aunt/uncle or so on....If this was my child No matter what ANYONE said or did to help it would NEVER be enough until i found her....THATS A NATURAL MOTHER'S INSTINCT !!!!
THAT'S WHERE I'D BE....IN PURE PERGATORY !!

Hiya Just!

The majority of people who are against the McCanns made a big deal of their 'extended' holiday and wanted to know if the fund money was being used to fly relatives over to support them.

People for the McCann's argued and their argument was....

If God forbid, your child was missing in another country now, where would you be?

Can you see where I'm going with this?

Why the sudden turn-around?

Damned if they stay, and now damned for coming home!

If I had the money, I would stay in the country where my child went missing, even downgrading my house to pay to stay in the country. My other children (well below school age), wouldn't suffer because I'd be with them. They wouldn't notice that they're not home. Home is where mum and dad are.

Probably at work trying to gain enough money to pay the bills and support the rest of my family. I'd be very upset but I would still have responsibilities which would stop me from conducting a search.

Do you get some sort of sick pleasure out of this? is this a game to you? or are you just a complete hypocrite?
I hate hypocrites like you Justmebackagain.

Justyboy, if you put out half decent, honest, fair, unbiased posts you would get a half decent argument from me
