No, it isn't crazy...Actually it is perverse...Just imagine the amount of profit American corporations already make out of war and imagine how that profit will rise once Iraq and Afghanistan are "liberated"...Crazy is not the right word, it is far too mild a term to describe all the perverse and wicked logic that stands behind this stupid war !

Do you think that war with Iran will become easier over time. They have been acquiring nukes; that should make it go smoother.
Iraq was knocked out of Kuwait fairly easily, when they got time to regroup and change their strategy to an insurgency offensive the pace of the war was slowed for the US.
War does get tougher if the enemy has time to prepare. You not being able to see it is what is crazy.

If that were indeed their reason, then it can make perfect sense. After all if you see an enemy building up,and making it clear that you are the target, should you fight him now when he's easily beatable,or wait until he gets his Army built up when it will be ten times harder to beat him. That is the exact mistake that we made with Hitler, and it cost millions of lives. He had made his intentions at least partly clear before he invaded anyone, yet the world was still trying to negotiate with him, even as he began invading other countries, like Poland.
But why not, lets just continue to negotiate with people as they build up,and attain better weapons, that way we can successfully repeat ALL of the mistakes of the past. After all what's a few million deaths,if you can at least say you tried to be peaceful, even when your enemies made it clear that wasn't an option.

Yes, preemptive war is the Bush doctrine. It's the basis for their current arguments to bomb Iran.
Republicans seem to have forgotten international law and the concept of a just war; that one nation does not attack another unless it was attacked first or is in imminent danger of attack.

Is anyone else tired of ignorant people like RipHimToShreds above me that lump all republicans together and all democrats together? It happens all the time on these boards. It is sad such ignorance exists in so many people.
Guess what genius, lots of democrats were for the war at the time and lots of republicans were against the war.

any country could be attacked right now to prevent future wars.

it takes great mental gymnastics to be a republican.
john l. - i am sick of people like you lumping the spectrum of american thought into "democrats" and "republicans." to me, they are two puppets controlled by the same ventriloquist.
