If winning the toss, bat first. Make sure that not more than 2 or 3 wickets are lost within the first 10 overs and try and accelerate in the next 10 overs. Team should keep a target of around 200 runs if batting first.
If batting second, try to keep the momentem and keep the requiired run rate under control and try to go for accdeleration after 10th over keeping wickets in hand. The main problem India had while playing against Pakistan and New Zeland was loosing too many wickets before 10th over and no recognised bnnatsmen were available atg crease at the slog overs and as such not many runs could be scored in the death overs.

India should opt to bat first if they win the toss and make maximum runs possible (just like against England) and put pressure on the opposite team.

India have got to get past SA first today! Of course being South African I hope that doesn't happen but the way Yuvraj played I'm a bit worried!
I would put him in 3rd or 4th change batsmen, hope the openers get a good platform, and give him more time to fire. Maybe he could get a ton! Who knows?
Anyway, GO SOUTH AFRICA!

If India win the toss, it should be elected to bat and choose their shots by keeping concentration for first five to seven overs then they can rise run rate gradually
