People only. I would go with two people at work, Alex and Tony. But I cannot think of a third one.
But if you simply go with anything alive (human/plant/animal), I would also add my dog (Bo) and my cat (Kat). Those two do more to convince me I'm needed than probably anyone else in my life. I have had Bo since the day she was born (in fact, I pulled her out of her mother and broke open the amniotic sac, then cleaned her up). She has been with me her whole life.
Kat I got when she was around 2 months old. Her mother was a stray and she had kittens. The mother got ran over and the other kittens were too small to survive at the time (though I didn't know they existed yet). Kat was able to survive long enough to walk. She came out of the woods crying (meowing) a lot, and I gave her a slice of pizza I had gotten that day. She's been with me ever since. I love both my cat and dog, and no one has ever made me feel more needed than both of these little ones.

As sad as it seems it hasn't happend in the last 5 day's, try like maybe a month ago, and it was probably my aunt because she thanked me for all of my help with her wedding.
I'm married and have a daughter too so how sad is that....

My dad - he asks for my opinion about things all of the time; every day. (I waited my WHOLE life for this!)
A close male friend - He bounced questions off of me about his career, if he's treating his girlfriend fairly, etc. We regularly have deep discussions about life. We never experience small talk - ever - and we're states apart from each other.
My mentor - I admire what she's accomplished in her life and she recently congratulated me on one of my accomplishments.
