I can imagine the enlightented censors are having an argument as to what you are asking here, as am I.

I will climb out of the gutter and write that I don't mind losing so much if I have fun in the competition, because in that way, I never lose. I just don't take home the prize others covet.

I hope that make sense.

Pride, one might swallow ; but, it's very difficult to swallow the FACT, that one is being defeated by others.

I would swallow my pride for a good cause. I won't say that nobody defeated me yet, I only compete a healthy competition and not for anything else

being defeated by your students is a feather to ur cap,being defeated by own pride is swallowing ur basic ego and is not at all easy.

I think they are different---I disagree with first person. I would rather be defeated by others rather than by my own pride.
