I've started playing with my friends, but I want to practise a bit more. Can anyone recommend the best site where I can play online during my lunchbreak (honestly)!

I would say poker stars because there are so many people that play on it. that means you won't have to wait long for a game. The software is also good. You can have your own icon too. choose it wisely though you can only change it once!

I know this isn't exactly a proper answer to your question but I would think the best way to practice would be against real people. Perhaps you could bring a deck of cards to work and play against collegues? If you usually play against friends anyway it would probably be more useful to play against opponents you can see, otherwise you won't be able to practice reading people.
If you just want to play to get a better feel for the rules and your own way of playing maybe it would be better to find a version you can download to your own computer- if you are waiting to play online your lunchbreak could be over before you get the chance!

Just about all of the sites have practise money tables but if you are serious, these are of little use as people just go wild on them.
Most sites have free-rolls where if you are good enough you can win real money.
You do not state your country but bear in mind that many sites will not let Americans play as their laws forbid it. You also will not get your money paid out if you try to get round this.
Try some of the following sites

or any other that takes your fancy really.

and they even offer free games that pay real cash every now and then..
ps..
i wouldnt waste my time with pokerstars or partypoker and there is another thats not worth the trouble.. think its called paridise something...
