if both parties are mature enough to handle it and also that it doesn't hurt or get anyone into trouble with the law, it would be ashamed to ruin someones life with megan's law if both parties are in love but a parent or guardian doesn't see it that way.

Depends on the age group your talking about. If the younger person is younger than 30 and it's a double age difference, then yes it matters. I would have nothing in common with a 25 year old and visa versa.

The problem is we are all changing and evolving into other people . You are not the same person you were 5years a go. values change, we mature and what used to make us go yuk years a go now dont look so bad. questions such as children ,where to live and what kind of house to live in all change. It would be very hard to live with someone who is very immature and going thru those fazes. If love where the cure all for all of lifes problems I would say go for it but be forwarned the problems will come and some of them will be because of your age difference. If you both have trouble resolving skills then it doesnt matter too much but if you dont have those skills love has little to do with it. Good luck

It can and most likely will cause problems, if not now then down the road. Your interests will change a bit as you grow older and good luck to them changing to something that will work for you both. I want to grow old with my husband. Not be left behind and have to start all over again in the middle of my life because he was double my age. It can also be very socially awkard (if that bothers you).

I guess it all depends. Age is only a number. I loved someone very deeply who was over half my age - she was 18 when I first met her.
Here in America, many people have problems with such May-December romances. Over in Europe, it's more civilized.
And you are talking about "love" - not how other people accept your relationship. It might be that your partner has a problem with how others might accept your relationship given the age difference.

I feel that if you love someone it should not matter what the age difference is. What should matter is how well you get along if you both like the same things if both of you are compatible not how many years are we apart. People look at age as if it has some control over how we feel and where are heart is. Someone that is 22 can feel love the same way that someone 40 is going to feel love. So No age does not matter.

whoa, first off....dont listen to people when they say age doesnt matter because sometimes and most of the times it does. different age groups are into doing different things. once in a while you might find someone younger or older that likes the same things you do and it works for a bit.
age difference is a hard thing to over come and its not easy but it can work if you REALLY work on it.

Yes, age is definitely a major factor in love. At some point your sex life will become an issue.Younger partner not enough experience older partner maybe experienced in that area. But it gets old also, then what we cheat. In the mean time have fun!

It's not the difference, as such. It's the ages of the two people. The absolute difference matters less the older they are. If one or both is underage, the difference is a huge deal.

It really doesn't make any difference. As long as the feelings are strong and the love is there, I say have some fun. The older person can teach you things, while the younger person teaches you things. I knew someone who dated a guy tht was 30 years her senior and he looked very fit and young and they looked like a great couple.

It will cause some friction eventually. Say one person is 50 the other is 70. Younger one will be looking at taking care of the older one in their old old age. say one is in their 40's other in their 20's they go out to eat, and people think you are parent and child. Not cool right?
