I could care less what people in Africa do or any other pl;ace for that matter. I have no pity for anybody or anything.
I've seen food wasted at KFC after closing they throw what is left outside in the garbage can.

If your starving in America it 's because you haven't learned how to survive yet. (example) There's a husband and wife team that goes out every Saturday to the Mall selling pies that his wife made at home for $5.00 a pie. They sell them all every Saturday and now people call in orders.

You would think that it was a stupid idea, but let me tell ya! she hit the big time with it. NOW she bakes every Friday and delivers the pies on Saturday.
Just last week she got in 30 orders and at $5.00 a pie she racks in the dollars and her and her husband pay their mortgage from it.

In America you can make anything happen if you try and that is why I don;t have pity for anybody,.

Well ya shunt pity your own self anyways. I hunt all the meat I eat, I grow a garden in the long summer months. I keep critters for milk then cheese. I can punch a well in. Most jobs I have worked in my life I have been required to Pis8 in a cup. I have paid just over 285,000 grand in taxes since I was 15 1/2. Hmm how much of that went to nipple suckin countries or the ocassional war. FUC* that. And after all that I still work hard enough to bye ya a brew Lil sis. Dam rant aye, hehaheha

those people have mental anguish as well but on top of that they struggle with just the neccesities for basic survival. Although i sympathise with people who have mental problems you live in a first world country where you don't have to worry about the basics. Imagine the mentality of these people who live in constant war torn environments, chronic famine and death from easily curable diseases as well as the with the harsh conditons of their living.
Having said that, i choose to look at your statement in a positive light - these people still manage to remain happy to some extent with what little they have and with all they have been through. African's are some of the most jovial people i can think of. You should try and see the positives in any bad situation especially when you are feeling particularly down.

I won't tell you that. I will say this: Assemble ten people in a room and have them all lay down their troubles in the center of a circle and I bet you will gladly pick yours up and leave more content.

That is not to belittle your feelings, only to say that sometimes the greatest prison of all is the prison of one's own mind. The mind plays tricks on us all, and things can be turned around with willingness and change of mind/heart/attitude.

Love ya pidge!

I listened to a scientist say this on TV the other day. The reason why we have it better, is because if want to do something, or be somebody, this country has the most OPTIONS and OPPORTUNITIES. My thought earlier this evening....the fact you can walk right up and turn the water faucet on, and water drains into your glass, thats something that most don't have, and the world hasn't had throughout history. Its a relatively modern concept, and one that's taken mostly for granted by those who have running indoor plumbing.

They are trying to say that you are more fortunate then those people in Africa. I think they should be trying to make feel better instead of telling you to think about those people who have less. But thats just me.

You still have a right to feel your feelings regardless if other people are better or worse off. As long as you don't get stuck in self pity.

No, but you are better off than people watching their loved ones starve to death slowly and not being able to do anything but watch and suffer along with them. TV & chairs are not that important.

Their point is that it can always be worse, so instead of thinking of all the things you don't have, appreciate all the things you do have. It's a little harder obviously, but that's why thinking about other people who have it worse can help.
