Isn't that better than "go through some sort of heaven before you see some sort of hell?"

That would be how the greatest disappointment feels like.

Yes it does. Last year I had such a crappy year it was hell, but well the summer was great, like heaven I guess. I can take the bad times okay though because I know you grow and learn the most from the bad times than during the good times.

Of course ..This is the nature of the beast ,so to speak . The 'dark night of the soul' is a very vivid personal experience and hence seeing it here on a computer screen could indeed 'shock the monkey'.William Blake wrote some formidable poetry on the subject at hand..."Songs of Heaven and Hell" and "Songs of Innocence and Experience", if I remember correctly. As I have grown older,so has my sentiment regained a little of its' previous footing, like when I was 2 years old.I just saw "The Pursuit Of Happyness"..the Will Smith vehicle on DVD and couldn't help but cry at certain times as I knew them so well...the fight, the struggle..an implausible victory..'.the American dream' fulfilled..but so what? All I know is that if you don't fight, you lose..Whatever that may be..Not paying your dues certainly doesn't subtract from your life...Ahh,but rising above, cleaning the sh*it off your shoes...leaves me without speech and grinning like my monkey friends.

Yes, but the expectation of heaven keeps us going and just when UR bout to give up heaven happens. That might become my new slogan: Heaven Happens.
