Yes, you can love two people at the same time. You need to be thinking ahead here. Suppose you take the trip and that you and your old love renew your relationship and want to be together all the time again. What will you do then? What if you go and the relationship is not warm and compelling enough for you to stay together. What will you do then? Can you tell your old love that you are in a relationship but want to see him and ask him if he is interested in you enough for you to take the chance of offending your present partner? What if you should lose them both? Could you handle taking the risk? Whatever you decide, you must avoid taking a trip under false pretenses, because that would make your present partner feel betrayed and you would know that you were dishonest. You have a difficult decision to make and you must just search your soul.

Once upon a time I was falling in love now I'm only falling apart ,what can I say total eclipse of the heart. I think you are in love with nothing more than a memory of a man you were with 30 years ago ,furthermore I think if you honestly loved your G/f you would not have such a strong urge to now see this man that you knew 20 years ago.You are chasing a life that no longer exists you need to come to terms with that because starting up a relationship with this man will not change this fact. You do need to see him so you can have closure on a life that no longer exists. Not saying that the the 2 of you might not be able to start a new life with each other, but understand it will be a new life. I know people say you can love 2 people at once ,if that is how you feel chances are you love neither one of them enough to keep investing the rest of your life on.Go and find someone where you have no doubt as to who you want to be with ,I'm sure you care deeply for both but is that enough if you have to wonder which one you want to be with?Go find someone where you have no doubts. Good luck

There was a song by an Australian Comedian which had the words "I've been thinking of her, she's thinking of him, he's thinking of me, and I don't know where I fit in".
The thing is YOU are the only one that can decide what is right here. Are you a Lesbian, Hetro, or maybe even Bi?
What is it that you hope to do/get/resolve by meeting with this old boyfriend?
Please think of this though - straight or gay - if your in a relationship with one person, and you take up/re-new a relationship with someone else - YOU ARE CHEATING. Far kinder to work out what you truly want, and deal with both parties honestly, openly and with a whole heart. I doubt either are going to be happy with half a relationship.

I really want to just blow up and tell you off, but I suspect that God is helping me hold my tongue.

Your relationship with another women is sinful, everyday of your life and I think you know this somewhere deep inside.

This man is probably the true love of your life and that is why you are back to your senses and wanting a man.

Go to him, see if the sparks just fly, if they do, well there is your answer.

Remember Anne Hecke, well she had that affair forever with Ellen, the comedian, but then came to her senses and said she was not a lesbian, she was just totally confused and was glad to be back dating and loving the male sex, it felt right, not wrong..
Good luck, God bless, he will forgive all.

Make up your own mind!
What happens if you revert again?
Then you'll stuff his life up too.
Think it all through first.
