ita 4afe engine,think it might be the head gasket but not too sure,new radiator was just put in.car has a blue smoke from the exhaust

the oil in the engine and the water from the radiator look the same,got to thinking it might be where someone put stop leak in the rad.

the water has a dark brown color to it.

Check the transmission fluid too. It runs through the radiator for cooling, and it could be what's making the water oily.

is this mixture of white/creamy consistency if so it is a safe bet that the head gasket has gone. the blue smoke from your exhaust is something entirely different as this indictes piston ring wear.
none of the faults you describe point to the fitting of a new rad. Oil in water or water in oil both could signify head gasket.

Ahh yes it sounds like it could be a broken head gasket, take it in by tow, dont drive it due to a possible engine damage.

oil in the water that's the head gasket
water in the oil that's the upper intak or lower intake gasket
or intake could be broken

it's impossible for their to be water in the oil, oil and water don't mix.
