*On the invitation you should write that you need to bring a plate of something. This will make it easier for you and its not rude.

Games:
1. At the party get into groups and give each group one role of toilet paper. One person in the group needs to be the ‘baby’ and the rest of the group needs to make a nappy for the ‘baby’ using nothing but the role toilet paper. Give the groups about 2mins to make a nappy. The mother to be picks the best looking nappy.

2. As people enter the party, pin on them a little bit of cloth that looks like a nappy. The aim of this game is to not cross your legs during the whole party. (you need to tell everyone this when you put the cloth on them) If you cross your legs and someone sees you, then they take your nappy. The person with the most nappies pinned on them at the end of the party wins a prize. (This game is not as easy as it sounds)

3. You could also get baby pictures of people and what they look like now, stick them up on the wall and get everyone at the party to guess who the person is. The person whos guesses the most babies wins.

4. Fill a baby bottle with jelly beans. Write down how many jelly jeans are there. Get people to write down their estimate as they enter the party. At the end of the party see who has the closest number.

5. Pick a plate or a few and put a sticker on the bottom. After everyone has finished eating tell them to turn over the plate. The winners are then free to claim their prize.

6. You could have a table and put all baby items on it. Have it covered with a cloth and give everyone a pen and piece of paper. Take off the cloth and let them look at the table for about 30seconds. Cover the table again and tell them they have to write down as much as they can remember. The person who remembers the most wins.

7. Pick 10 or so words related to babies and scramble the letters. Photocopy the scrambled words on a sheet of paper for everyone at the party. The fastest person wins.

I continuously visit Sam's and get a case of the Sam's kind diapers and a case of diaper wipes as a bathtub or toddler present. it is a modern that would no longer basically be used yet, would be used plenty! every time I rather have given this it is been nicely gained and much favored. even although others can grant little programs of diaper I rather have by no skill been to a bathtub the place all and sundry else gave a case of diapers and wipes. value is around $30 for the two in case you get the Sam's kind that's a greater proper diaper than the Huggies. Then if the guy is somewhat close to to you, you could continuously purchase an outfit after the toddler arrives in case you experience you will desire to. P.S. I by no skill purchase newborns because of the fact they outgrow those so quickly. I continuously purchase the subsequent length up.

Hi on ebay you can buy baby shower scratie things which I think would be fun. Also there is a game where people try and guess how big the belly of the girl who is pregnant is by estimating using a piece of twine. Try have pink icing on cupcakes. Also some places make little minature pink strollers which you can put little party favors in. Also for prizes get a baby bottle and fill it with prizes. At my shower they got a piece of twine and put some pegs on it and then told everyone to get as many of them as they can with one hand without dropping any. the person with the most won.

oooh I love baby showers!!! What about finding pictures (google images) of high heels, lipsticks and handbags (like young girl / caricature ones )and then copy them out and stick them to cardboard and hang them from the ceiling/patio with pink balloons and streamers. You can't get more girly than that. Have cheap pink baby bottles with the top of the teat cut off to drink out of and serve pink champayne (non-alcoholic for those who can't drink). For table decorations, fill large clear glass bowls/vases with water. Put some white pebbles (or pink if you can find them) on the bottom and pink food dye in the water. Place pink flowers to float on the top or cute rubber duckies. Even pink fish are cute!

Some games I love are..
1. Pre-print a page with four colums, Date Born, Time born Weight, Length, and get all the guests to fill in their guess and then mum can check out who was the closest when bubs comes!
2. Get a roll of twine/string and have everyone guess how long a piece of string needs to be to fit around mums tummy (without measuring it around her). When everyone has their piece, one by one put it around her tummy to see who's closest end to end. Winner gets a prize. Mum can keep the closest piece of string to see how big she gets next time.
3. Have a bottle drinking contest. Fastest to drink 100ml's wins a prize.
4. Nappy folding contest. Teams of two with each person having one hand behind their back. Get a cloth nappy, a couple of pins/snappy and a large doll or teddy. Team must use only one hand each to fold nappy and pin it on the teddy. Fastest team wins a prize! This one is hilarious to watch!
5. Fill a bowl with cotton buds, blind fold the guest and give them a spoon (ordinary tea spoon). They must try and fling all the cotton buds out of the bowl blindfolded. Fastest time wins.
This is hilarious too because they are so light you can't feel them against the small spoon and cotton buds go everywhere!
6. Get a large card or small notebook and have everyone write a piece of advice they felt handy for them. Scrapbook a small album with advice quotes and pictures from the day to give to mum afterward.

Hope that helps. There are hundreds of good sites on babyshowers but after doing all those games at showers I've given or been to, they have all been well received!

Best of luck for your friend!

i had my baby shower in may of this year.here r some game ideas:

-get baby food that come in jars, try to get jars that look like they have the same type of fruit or veggie in them, note down what each fruit or veggie is in each jar, take the labels off,and write numbers on the bottom of them.the guests r gonna each get a piece of paper, pen and pass along the jars trying to guess wat is in each jar.its a fun game if u have enough jars that look like they carry similar lookin food inside of them.

-pin the baby on the mommy game.
u can draw on a big poster board a picture of a pregnant lady, with her tummy having a little x-marks-the-spot area in the middle.cut out pictures of babies from magazines,to match the number of guests that will be playing.write numbers on the pictures so u know which guest comes closest to the "x".get some type of blindfold.dont forget to spin the blindfolded guest to make it a challenge!

At my baby shower we used string and let everyone cut off how much they thought would go around me and then took turns seeing whose fit. I saved the string for my baby book! Also you can make some scramble games, baby bingo, and other word games. Make necklaces with pink pacifiers on them and play don't say baby.

I went to one of my best friends baby showers and her mother gave her a pretty cute centerpiece made entirely out of diapers all layered really nice together. Sounds wierd but it turned out pretty. Also she had a cake that looked like a quilt with some of her baby pictures on it. it turned out really great.

game ideas:
- smear different kinds of melted chocolate or candy bar on seperate diapers and have people guess what they are.
- if there are male guests, have a beer-chug competition drinking out of baby bottles.
- get a walla balla and have guests play. if you don't know what a walla ball is watch this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ejy5eyRW_aE
