Am. You don't have to be arrested to do community service. When I did it, I volenteered.

Yes, I went to the old people home with a couple of friends and we went there every Monday and Thursday for about 3 weeks and it was really good. We got to know some stories about the residents and we also played some lawn bowls as well :)

I did Community Service when I was 15 years of age at Moat Road Church Playschool whilst I was a pupil at Sackville Comprehensive School in East Grinstead as part of the scheme to give older pupils some 'work experience' shortly before the minimum age (16) for leaving school at that time !

I've done fundraisers for different fraternal orders i belong to, singlehandedly raised $2000 right after 9/11 for the Widows and Orphans of NYC Firefighters and Police Assn.
and have done a LOT of free karaoke/DJ shows for local benefits for families suffering through some tragedy.

Four hours a week I volunteer to listen to morons and idiots with inane and petty problems that don't have YA or computers at a suicide/crises center. Most of them make some of the YA people sound like rocket scientists.
