I suggest you visit India for a few weeks and acquaint yourself with Indian society and it's inter personal relationships.The image of an Indian wife (married to an Indian ) is a way removed from the west,more so from an American wife.To say that you are going to settle in USA is pertinent to a point but to spend a life with an Indian is more relevant.Please remember that we may take an Indian out of India but can't take India out of him.Try to understand the depth of meaning in that saying.On all other counts you are a winner.Indian men make great husbands and even greater fathers.So be it.Good luck from another Indian.

Hindu is to Christian as American is to Indian.

anyways, if you are seriously asking this question, then definately no. what? you didn't think about this before hand? or are you trying to figure out what traditions to go by at the wedding? lol, this shouldnt be a new concept for you if you have made it as far as a marriage proposal, and if it really is a concern then don't get married because you obviously havn't even scratched the surface of true commitment if you two are still deciding this part of your relationship.

Its just the same as me a Nigerian American woman dating and possibly marrying a white European or American man. Nothing wrong with that. Are YOU okay marrying someone who is of a different religion?

If you love him, you should go for it. He obviously loves you enough to propose. Religion should not be a problem, as long as he doesn't try to force it onto you. Hope this helps.
