Music choice can reflect on a person's personality, but does not truly define it. If they follow the newest trends, they are likely not leaders, but followers. If they chose to listen to stuff that nobody ever heard of, they may think more independently than others. And there are many other types of music that reveal a bit about one's character.

From experience: I don't like metal much. One of my best friends loves it. I didn't really know what music he listened to when I met him. When I did realize that he liked metal, I did not think of him as a punk or a trashy person, because I had gotten to know him outside of his taste in music.

In the beginning yes. When I was young I rebelled in having knowledge, and owning lots of American rock music when I lived in Puerto Rico. I rebelled against the Salsa listeners of the time. As I grew older and gave a listen to a broader array or music I developed a taste for Salsa, along with Jazz, Classical and other forms of music from around the world. By listening to more styles I have become a good musician and songwriter.

yes, i am, it reveals my personality of being just old fashioned songs from the 60's to 80's are still my favorites.During my time there are rock & roll music I Like but today's music is more on shouting, rapping & quite not soothing to the ear.Don't be offended to the modern music, there are some that I like but only if its not too fast & bouncy i can take it.I like to do some karaoke & only the regular rhythm I can handle to sing but all those gasping for the words too fast'makes you feel very dizzy & breathless after singing them.Young people are good at it because their memory is intact. Not for a 50 yr.old like me.

Sometimes. I think it does apply to my husband though. He is definitely stuck in the 80's and early 90's! If I hear Duran Duran one more time, I will scream!
