Our sexlife is good but I want to buy her a schoolgirl uniform, one of those lether suits with the boots and a whip, and maybe a nurse outfit but she says she don't like costumes. Never really gives a reason.
What do you guys think the reason could be?

I could be a host of different reasons. I would think that you should know best because you should know her best. However it could be because she is a little shy about trying new things. It also could be that she feels that by asking her this she is not enough for you herself as she is, ie that she has to pretend to be "somebody else" to make you happy. This would apply probably if you like to watch porno and such. It could also be that she has issues with her body that she feels unconfortable and not sexy. Could be that she has issues in her past that she has not shared w/ you that make these things uncomfortable to do. If you really want to know I would say you need to open a dialoge with your wife not in the bedroom. Not when you are ready to have sex. But during a time when you feel you both can talk about these issues comfortably and have some time. Don't press if she does not want to talk about it, but let her know why you would like to and that you feel she would be a fabulous partner and your only partner. Good luck.

In my opinion, some women don't want to be pushed into anything that feels unnatural to them..they rather be held and kissed and treated gentle without anything else involved.
When two people are married you try and come to some agreement what you like and what you don't and you respect the other person's wishes. It's like making you play baseball if you hate the sport...If your wife has many great qualities count your blessings ...and forget the costumes..it's not that important not in today's world that is for sure.

She just may not be into that kinky type stuff. Or she may feel like you are trying to make her into someone that she is not. Maybe you can try to compromise and start off slow with just pigtails or something instead of a whole school girl outfit. Some people just aren't into the costumes, role playing, scenario.

She may interpret your request as you desiring something other than what she is. She may feel that she is a wife - not a nurse or a little girl. If your sex life is good, why do you want costumes? Just a question.

I'd have to agree with 4 real.
I never liked such things because I didn't understand why being myself wasn't good enough. Why do I have to pretend to be someone else? Wasn't I enough to turn him on? That was my problem with costumes. I understand that sometimes things need to be spiced up...but can't I do that as "me" instead of a character?

Your wife may be very serious and sincere about her love for you and just want to be genuine and hence is not ready for the games. You may be able to introduce a more playful approach over time if you are gentle and sensitive to her responses, talk to her about how her appearance and the games make you feel.

She may feel a little insecure about trying new things. Introduce her to the whole thing a little more slowly, talk to her about what you think and why you would like it. Be sure to compliment her as she is but tell her that you might enjoy some adventure. Don't say something like, "I want to imagine that you are someone else (duh)."
