French Colonies in Louisiana things were not nearly as defined.
They had the pure French:

Later on it evolved to where a free black when he aquired enough slaves and enough land was also considered Creole.
then there were the Creoles of Spanish, indian, French, and African origan. Many of whom also were in the planter class or artisian class.
In the New Orleans area there was also a large artisian class of Creoles as well as a large artisian class of free blacks many of whom owned slaves themselves.

Can you be more specific? Do you mean in the British colonies that went on to become the US? Or generally how did class work in conjunction with colonialism?
