I Know!! People have a way of distorting reality, because they don't want to deal with it. :)) They're in denial... I mean they even named a river The Nile... :) that just sounds like Denial to me. :) How can something be 'new and improved'? If it's new what was it improving on? If it's called a boxing RING, then why are they square? :))

I think it may be somewhat of a reference to the "afterlife" that their relatives living now will see them later.

A definition of "late" is recently deceased, it has nothing to do with how old you were

It's a nicer word than dead. "I use the name Jess because it's the name of my late husband "sounds much better than saying "it's the name of my dead spouse," doesn't it?
