about 2 months ago i went to my first basketball game and i enjoyed it very much, i was screaming for the home team, etc etc
during the game my throat began to hurt and i was really hoarse and scratchy
its not like i had the greatest voice to begin with, but now everytime i sing it sounds sooo horrible. before, my voice flowed smoothly and now i sound like ashlee simpson when she had "acid reflux"
WHAT IS THIS??
how can i get my voice flowing again?

you may want to see a doctor sounds like you damaged your vocal folds. sometime you just need to rest your voice by not talking at all for a few days and other times it could be something more serious

The only thing you can do is stick to strict voice rest. Voice abuse causes your vocal cords to become swollen, and they don't have a chance to recover if you continue to use them. Voice rest includes no talking (or talking as little as possible), no singing, no throat-clearing, no humming, no yelling, no coughing, no whispering, and no laughing.
You may want to take an anti-inflammatory, like ibuprofen. Drink room temperature beverages; cold ones may trigger a coughing fit, and hot ones keep your throat inflamed. Liquids don't touch the vocal cords; if they did, you would have the worst coughing fit of your life.
Two months after the abusive event isn't long, since you continued to talk and tried to sing, which just perpetuated the problem.
Give yourself two weeks of strict voice rest, and your vocal cords should return to normal. If your voice problem persists after 2 weeks, see an ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT).

Try gargling with warm saltwater. Make a solution of saltwater of 1 tablespoon of salt to 1 quart of water. After this eat about a half pint of your favorite flavor of yogurt. The combination of salt and bitter will relax your vocal chords and your voice should return to normal or perhaps even better after 2 or 3 days of this treatment.

You have to rest your vocal cords. After so much screaming, your vocal cords have taken a beating. In order for them to recover, you have to give them a rest. If your voice is scratchy, talk as little as possible. You can also gargle with 1 tsp. of salt in a glass of water. Salt water is very healing.

Good luck.

Peppermint tea will calm your throat/numb it, and honey will gloss over that. attempt to no longer talk too lots till you're actual on the hang-out, then drink a fabulous volume of peppermint tea with a sprint honey in it. that's a huge difficulty for haunts.
