If they want you to come to work for them then they should at least pay for your fare and whatever documents you may need to get there and also pay your salary up front before leaving. Don't get caught up in a scam, seems there are scams of all sorts popping up in all those middle-eastern countries.........be careful and do what you feel is right. I would not go under those conditions though. Sounds pretty shady to me.

I just returned from Saudi Arabia(Jeddah) and learned lots about the people. They are cheap and their word means nothing. If you decide to do this maybe your experience will be better than mine. Most contracts for Saudi are that the fare is paid up front and is good for 2 years. If you leave before the 2 years you pay your own way home.Hope this helps.

Tell the cheap bastards to prepay your round-trip ticket. If they're not willing to do that, tell them to eat a ham and sausage pizza and wash it down with a couple of beers.

This is a common scam. You pay your way there and they collect your passport, usually under the guise of registering you with the police. You never see your passport again and are essentially an indentured servant for as long as they care to keep you there. When they tire of you, they'll just dump you on the street, probably without your passport or a penny to get home with.

Yes, that is the way its done,,,as long as you have a contract in place. Remember the first 70,000 is tax free too. so why worry about petty cash?
