YES the sizing on the fabric can be itchy--just turn them in side out and wash them ! Toss them in the dryer, and turn them right side out again to fold them.

Not necessary but advisable especially if you are sensitive to some of the sizing used on fabrics (do seems tend to make you rash> Id they are a color like Bright Red or Bright Blue or a color very likely to bleed in the wash. I have found that if I wear them before washing my skin and underthings tend to pick up the color.....nothing like red/blue skin to match the new shirts.

I don't understand whats so special about new Nike shirts from all other new shirts, but yes, It would be wise to wash anything new when you first get it. You have to wash out that " new smell" and then let it hang dry so it doesn't shrink.

I think you should. The Vietnamese 7-year-olds who made the shirt might have had dirty hands. They're supposed to wash their hands before coming into the factory but sometimes they don't, those ungrateful bastards.

How about you take a shower? I prefer to wash myself, before I wear my new clothes. :)

It's a good idea. It helps them to be more comfortable, for one thing. You don't have to, though.
