Hell yes! The drivers out there don't care if you are walking or not. I have been "nudged" by way too many cars to just arbitrarily cross against the light. I have even been hit crossing WITH the light! At least if I cross with the light and someone hits me they are liable!!!!!

I only wait for the light when traffic doesn't stop otherwise. A lot of times I don't even go to the light to cross, because the traffic breaks more often between lights.

What traffic light? I cross the street when I see no cars coming. No matter if I'm at a light or not. Guess they call that Jay walking?

No. The traffic around here is pretty much relentless no matter what the light says so I just wait until there's a gap and make a dash for it.

No, and something else that is funny, a lot of people will wait if you wait, but as soon as you take the plunge and cross when its green people will start follwing you.

Yes. the college students in this town drive like they're drunk (which they probably are). No one pays attention anymore, so it's dangerous not to wait for the light.
