My computer has become infested with pop ups in the last 4 days, how do I stop them, where did they come from?

download the yahoo toolbar,,theres a popup blocker on there that works great. also an antispy button.

up there with the yahoo toolbar seems a reasonable and simple solution.... but what would i know?
