So Ive come to the conclusion that most video games are about the same as the others in their genres. Shooter games are basically the same, RPGs are the same, Strategy are the same. Is there a game out there that isnt online that is different from the rest of its genre and that is awesome to play? I played the Total war series and liked them even though they werent fufulling enough. Id like something as different as that.

I think one of the most unique games I've played in a long time was Shadow of the Colossus. It's a 3rd person adventure game that really breaks the mold. It's more like 16 epic boss battles against monstrously huge Colossi. Here is an IGN review & description if you'd like to check it out (they gave it a 9.7/10):

When I heard your question...all i can think of is the PS3, Oblivion is an amazingly great RPG and Warhawk? That is the best pnline game ever made, and calling all cars is a better arcade game than doom. And heres for the shooter...have you played Resistance? It is such a new thing that i had no clue what to do without listening to the directions, in most shooters you just go up and kiill people. Finally PLAYSTATION HOME its not really a game, but u can interact with people and stuff, its pretty fun, check it out on youtube, search Playstation Home

If you want a really differend shooter go for Bioshock. You can basically choose your own adventure... but you'll prolly want a demo of it before you believe me -.-

Oblivion is amazing for an rpg. It is so open ended that I fell in love instantly. It's extremely different.

For simulators just wait until Spore comes out. Spore alows you to play through a species you create EVERY part of. YOu then get to play through it's bacterial stage, beast stage, tribal, city, war and finally the gigantic space exploration stage. I'm speaking from trailers and hype though so it might not turn out to be good -.- Try Creatures 3 or Docking Station instead for a similar interestingly different feel. Docking station is a free download but those two games are very old... a couple of years.

Any of the Harvest Moon series is very, very different.

I mean honestly, who doesn't want to play a half-RPG/ farming game hybrid where you meet pretty girls and sell your crops that you plant, water, grow, and harvest yourself? One of the Harvest Moons is even based on the future, and monsters eat your crops!

Kingdom Hearts has Disney Characters, no longer Manga characters. Oh, and that's slightly crap. (FF characters aside, of course) what type of a interest is it? scuffling with interest? RPG? additionally, what type of Anime/Manga characters? Shojo? Shonen? old wave? New Wave? those info might help you hit upon your interest ^_^
