The story is that someone swiped the front of my new Lexus IS 250 (color is smoky granite metallic clearcoat) and left a few minor-ish scratches. I know it's not too serious, but you can kind of see them, and I don't want to get in trouble.

I'm kind of new at this whole "lease" thing. If I get those scratches buffed out in auto store, is that against the lease contract or something? Will I get in more trouble by doing so?

Thank you for all your help.

You will be charged the cost of repair for any damage when you turn the car back in!. If they can be buffed out, by all means feel free to have it done! You can have any repair made, just like you own the car!

Well according to the rules, you would have to pay for that but I would just get it buffed out by someone you pick rather than pay the dealership to do it! As long as it is done well, they will never know the difference!

They would never know it if they could be buffed out. I don't think you will get in trouble for that.

Well, you either leave them there and pay for them at the end of your lease. Or contact your financial company and annonymously ask if it is ok to fix it yourself.
