If the USA or the Big Whigs in this country believe we need to be securing the hot commodity(oil),?

in order to remain in power, then why would anyone in America be upset about doing what needs to be done to stay #1 ? America is the best , our goals are over all good, then why is anyone upset? They big guys know how to get er' done!

1. Then they should say that. Better than telling outright lies about terrorists and nuclear weapons.
2. They've done a pretty poor job of securing the oil. The "big guys" either don't know how to "get 'er" done or don't wish to "get 'er" done.
3. Oil is an international commodity, so it doesn't help us it would just make everyone's oil slightly less expensive.

America and all other countries do what they perceive to be in their own best self-interest. Some people seem to have a problem with that.

Since crude oil is currently the life's blood of commerce in the world, efforts to secure a steady flow at fair market prices would seem to be a pretty good pursuit.

Equally important would be to find an alternative commodity to serve that goal. Again that would seem to be a pretty good pursuit.

We are in the process of securing both.

Seems like a plan to me.

Yes, it's about oil. And if we could get more of it here, we could send less soldiers to die for it there. But the democrats will have none of that. They prefer dead soldiers to unhappy caribou.
