Sorry i don't live in Minnesota but here in England a national ban restricting smoking in all public places has recently been put in place.

It hasn't effected me in the slightest because my life doesn't revolve around smoking. I still drink and eat at my favorite bars and restaurants.

In our state anywhere they serve food is a smoke free establishment. Some have seating arrangements outside where you are allowed to smoke. I am a smoker for several years now and I don't have a problem with nonsmoking establishments. In fact I come to appreciate a non smoke environment while dining. Its so much healthier for smokers and non smokers as well. When you return to your vehicle after a nice meal then your cigarette is so much more enjoyable. Trust me. However, I do believe bars should allow smoking as long as they don't serve food. I believe bars will have a decrease in business as most smokers like to smoke while drinking.

Not unless they provide a place for smokers outside and heaters. Trust me some bars will do it.

Good point up there too. There will be a lot of private clubs opening. Then they can discriminate against all walks of life especially the people who think it's OK for 6 blacks to beat one white half to death.

Not a smoker, but states making bars and restaurants . . . unless they are owned by the state! . . . smoke-free, is unconstitutional. They've done it in NY and are trying to do in in Maryland and here in PA.
Of course, the Constitution hasn't been faring very well anywhere in America the past 7 years!

Florida is smoke-free in alot of restaurants and bars. Some bars who serve more alcohol than food (a percentage) still allow smoking in their establishment and there is only one bowling alley in Tampa that I frequent that still allows smoking.

I take my business to those places that still allow smoking. I enjoy smoking while I'm drinking beer and also after my meals without having to do it in the sun.

California has been smoke free for years. Smokers still go to them.
Most restaurants and bars have a patio for smokers.
