Change brings the unknown.
Nobody knows what that holds, what will happen, what could happen, there are always so many possibilities.
I think people like knowing that they are safe and secure in their current enviroment, and when that changes then they are no longer nestled perfectly in their safety, but back into the unknown.
It's sometimes just the shock factor and takes abit of time to get used to the idea that things are changing.

For anyone, having to move out of a situation and routine we are comfortable with and have gotten used to will cause some anxiety and doubt. However, it is those who are so doubtful that the change will be useful to them, or believe it may harm them that fear change. Everyone will question it, but I find that people who love a challenge and love to think in different methods love change.
Trouble adjusting - that depends on the circumstances. It may be that the change really just isn't right for you, or it could be you refusing to accept and therefore, adjust. The best thing to do is find the root of the problem - ie: it isn't suitable or you just think its not suitable - and then the solution.

Because change means leaving our "comfort" zone and exposing ourselves to learning something new. We all enjoy what we know and quiver at the thought of "new". In the end, change seems to always be a good thing but will always be scarey at first glance.

Humans are creatures of habit. We tend to get so into a routine that any breaks in habit, we can't adjust to well.

I think it is just human nature - I don't know what reason there is for it otherwise. Because we all feel it whether we admit it or not.

We want to be comfortable, we don't want to have to adjust and compromise.
