I'm unsure of your question also. If you are saying you are the mother and buy thongs for your daughter, it depends on her age. If she is still a teenager, I would not buy my child a thong.
I know that noone has to know what she has on underneath, but too me, it sound like she is trying to be sexy or something.
I have seen music videos, and some teens on the screen, wearing hip hugger jeans, and showing part of their thongs
and their tatoos. I think we need to draw a line where our teens are concern, especially our girls. These days our daughters do not get enough respect from guys. Listen to the way our young men talk about young women, and how music videos, and movies disgraces them. We need to teach our daughters to respect themselves, so that they will get respect.

Not sure who you are but if you are the father (as I understood from your last clarification), then, yes, it is weird for you to do that. Having said so, however, it isn't wrong to do so. That's more important. At least you know what your daughter wants and what she has in her closet. That is more important than the issue of "weirdness" or "uniqueness" of your shopping together or her undies.

i dont think it's weird. my mom goes with me to buy underwear all the time, lol. but a lot depends on her age to. i didnt start wearing thongs until i was like, 14. and thats only when i was worried about panty lines, lol.
