Weeks, everytime I brake, the car vibrates alot, and the steering wheel shakes, it doesnt have much of a problem when I am driving at normal, or even higher speeds. Just when I brake, even if it is only at a stop light, It vibrates very badly, does anyone know what that could be ??

The front brake rotors are warped. This usually occurs on brakes that are driven har or are aged. The brake rotors actually disentegrate with age as every time you hit the brakes not only does the brake pad or shoe (rear drum brakes) wear but the metal rotor, too. It gets thinner and thinner and will be out of specifications and will warp if the brakes get really hot a couple of times from hard stops.

You'll probably get or need new pads and rotors and they shoudl always bleed the brake system, too. Might run you $100-200 for the job.

They wil inspect the rear brakes as well and advise you if they need something. Most of the time they can just clean and adjust the rears unless they are old and worn out or out of specification as well.

Good Luck!

You need new front rotors. They aren't cheap, but you definitely need to make the investment. You're an accident waiting to happen and you're not safe to yourself or anyone else on the road. Replace the break pads while you're at it. Keep up with the maintenance on your car and you can avoid this problem in the future. It can lead to more damage if you don't get it fixed soon.

total brake problem that needs instant repair before you smash a tree or a bridge abutment--the entire system needs maintenance periodically--something you haven't done--so now you are on borrowed time--get to a dealer or a shop that can handle this job properly.
