First I want to congrats you for worrying about your weight, a lot of kids this days don't care so much about their weight anymore and so are their parents, losing weight is not just a matter of looking skinny and beautiful, its also to be healthier and have a longer life...so I'm happy that you are worrying about it now that you are younger rather than later that is more difficult to do something about it.

Well I've actually had the same problem as you when I was 15 ..and let me tell you that the best way of losing weight is by cutting all the sweets, drinking lots of water, do a lot of cardio exercises..I know you do basketball 6 hrs a week, but that wont help you much, try do go for runs at least 1hr a day (try this in the morning).. if you cant..start slowly till you reach that point...have lots of fruit and veggies of course and one other thing...try to have a hot tea after your meals if you can drink more than a cup its even better ..once you start losing weight start doing seat ups so you can get strong muscles and one little trick every time you do the seat ups rub a bit of baby oil around your waist and cover it up with a plastic bag and you can do your exercise wrapped in a plastic bag, that would help you to sweat more and lose weight easier in the parts you want...... And for the asthma..if you have difficulties doing too much exercise, try to start slowly and do more and more each day by losing weight your asthma would start dissapearing. I hope this helps... :)

Hello, I'm a stylist. What type of things are we talking about here? First off, keep one tampon, one maxi pad, and one pantyliner at least in her purse and more in her locker if she thinks she needs to. A magnetic mirror and a shelf from Staples or Walmart is good for the locker. Don't forget a comb and/or brush, some lip balm, maybe a mint or two. Keep at least one pen and one pencil and a small pad of paper in her purse to remind herself of things. I always kept at least enough money to buy one lunch in case of emergency. No cell phones or other electronics unless her school encourages that. Does she have a thumb drive? Get a highlighter too. If she has long hair put a hair tie in her purse. If she wears contacts give her some solution and if she wears glasses, give her a cleaning cloth. A small basic calculator might help her out. I kept a small thesaurus with me too. The school does usually provide those, but I like to sound smart. If she carries note cards, get her a note-card box or pouch. Cloth book covers work best and plastic folders are the cutest. I hope this helps!

Well im 13 (14 in december ) 5'3 and i weigh 130 pounds so your weight is fine as far as im concerned. But dont forget girls around the ages of puberty tend to gain and lose weight between the ages of 12 and 18. So you have nothing to worry about, although you may be a bit chubby now you will grow taller and more slim. And when you have grown out of the chubbyish stage other girls might still be in it because everyone matures differently. Lately i have noticed im getting a bit chubbier even though my eating and exercise hasnt changed. As long as you are eating healthy and getting plenty of exercise (which you are) its perfectly normal and theres really nothing you can do about it exept wait for puberty to pass.

Pilates is the answer to most questions asked like this...

Pilates Tones and Lengthens the muscules it's working rather then bulking them up resulting in lean muscle mass and a sleek, toned, sexy body. It's worked for soooo many celebreties so far and finding a pilates studio in the area shouldn't be that hard. Lifetime Fitness (the gym I go to) has yoga and pilates studios at their gym. And Pilates is kinda like yoga... kinda low-impact so I think that with your asthma you'd be okay... but check first with your doctor, of course.

Pilates is the perfect workout for women who want to tone up and still look very sleek and sexy.

If it really bothers you, I would focus more on cardio things (like running, swimming, biking) rather than situps or weights. Those burn fat, not build muscle. But remember that you are still young -you may not actually lose weight, but you will probably slim down over the next couple years.

also keep up with the basketball...good luck!

Well the sport to get the skinniest out of my own experience is to join a swim team. And I am pretty sure you are not overweight because you are very tall. I have a link for you to check your BMI (stands for body mass index) and you could see if you are underweight, normal, or overweight.

Also It doesn't matter if stuff you wear doesn't look good on you. It's just your opinion and just wear what you feel comfortable in.

im gonna tell you now, i wouldnt waste your time with crunches and sit ups. to get a flat stomach, its best to do things like, leg lifts, step ups, and running. running is good for losing any weight. if you have love handles, it helps to get little weights, (or just anything to hold really, soup cans, or water bottles) and stand with your legs shoulder length apart, and lean side ways with your right arm going down the right side of your body as far as you can, and then stand straight and repeat with the left side. the more weifght you have the better it works. but if you have the whole innertube (like me) going all the way around your stomach, you really just need to burn calories.

1] Diet: eat at least two servings daily of lean protein, three of low fat dairy, three of whole grain bread/cereal/rice/pasta,
three of veggies including salad, and cruciferous veg [ broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, spinach ], and two of fruit.
2] do 3 sets each of ten reps of situps, obliques, crunches, and pushups. Work up to weight training [ light until done growing ].
3] drink 1/2 gallon of water daily
4] take a quality vitamin with minerals every day
5] try to do some exercise six days a week to lose or tone up - could do walking, swimming, cycling, yardwork [ grass, leaves, weeding ], vacuuming, washing windows.

running can help flatten your stomach and it is much better then sit ups or crunchs. also you know you eat badly if you have a chubby stomach. just eat healthy foods. but every once in a while eat chocolate or something, you dont need to starve yourselve. i used you have a chubby stomach and in skinny! it was because of the way i eat. i started running again and my stomach got flatter and my hips got shapelier
