I don't get why conservatives in America are so strange?

Seriously, if there's anything I understand about conservatives in America, it's this:

1. If anything bad happens, it's YOUR fault.
2. If you complain about anything, you're not being positive enough and you hate the world.
3. Blacks are bad people.
4. Blacks are always guilty.
5. If you're poor, it's your fault because you're stupid.
6. The answer to any tough question is Jesus or God.
7. The government can kill and rob people because it's patriotic to do so, but everyone else that does it is worse than the devil.

I'm sorry, this just seems to be the mindset of most conservatives in America. There's no one else like them in the world. It's quite irrational.

You are a keen observer and have almost got the picture. Allow me to fill in a few things.

#1. True, unless its one of them caught red-handed, then its a Liberal Political witch hunt. Also, if the US has an unfortunate problem that's the Libs fault also.

#2. False, You are actually encouraged to complain as long as its an attack on Libs., the press, taxes, or helping people take that first step out of poverty, or public education. See, if they can keep the basic necessities for success out of most price ranges, then they don't have to worry about new competition.

#3. True. but only because they can't get their vote

#4. True. they're poor, black, and vote Democrat. That 3 strikes and that's all you get.

#5. 1/2 True & 1/2 false. If you're a Lib. then thats true. If you're part of the Religious Right, then it must be God will.

2. If you complain about anything, you're not being positive enough and you hate the world. -- Well stop complaining. Every time I see someone complaining they half the time never do anything about it. How if they were positive and looked up once in a while they would see the light instead of the dirt on the ground.

3. Blacks are bad people. Where that come from? The black people I know some have up to 8 college degrees, great jobs and great lives. I don't hang around the gang, drugged, alcoholic ones since I do none of that.

Well, maybe if they stopped riding around in expensive cars, wearing thousands and thousands of dollars worth of jewels, hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of clothes, a gun under their car seat and no job, or if they have a job it is certainly not this level of pay. I can see why they would look guilty for something.


5. If you're poor, it's your fault because you're stupid. Well half the time it is true. Maybe if they spent less time breeding and more time studying and getting a education they wouldn't be in the slums they are now. In fact, they can still get out of it with government programs that train them for great paying jobs. But they too lazy to do anything because why do something when there is welfare (free money no questions asked).


6. The answer to any tough question is Jesus or God. Only uneducated people say that I.E.: Evolution.


7. The government can kill and rob people because it's patriotic to do so, but everyone else that does it is worse than the devil. When has the Government done this? I certainly have not been robbed or murdered by any government official. Now people at Waco under Clinton. . . that is another story.

So where does your logic come from? Alphabet soup and you find random words there and connect them to half baked thoughts regarding conservatives?

1. Don't' know where you got that from, but if you lose your job, then find one and don't expect other working people to support you.
2. I hate those that attack us and threaten us.
3. Don't know where the proof of that is. I think any American who happens to be of a certain color can be bad. Though you liberals do have a KKK Byrd on your party.
4. I see other races in prison.
5. Don't know where you got that impression. Being poor is a choice. You are stupid if you don't take the opportunities provided to make it.
6. Faith is not a bad word. Many liberals believe in God.

i'm Canadian, yet, If I have been an American i may well be concerned approximately the two Obama or Clinton. As an interloper, i don't have party affiliations to cloud my judgement. i think Obama is the terrific person for the activity. Then Clinton as vice in step with threat. Much of what you say is very true. That's the neocon trash propaganda that's on TV everyday to brainwash the masses. I think that people are not that cold and heartless by nature. It takes decades of inculcating us through the media by those who truly are that evil to make people think that way.

Could it be that you are poor because you had to leave an abusive husband and have to somehow get money while taking care of your baby 24/7, could it? NO!!! Or it couldn't possibly be that you actually got seriously ill or injured and can't work ad pay your bills because your insurance doesn't cover most of the cost, could it? Maybe YOU need to have a reality check and deal with some adversity before you comfortably sit and judge others!

A conservative rebuttal:

1. Bad things often happen to people who put themselves in bad circumstances, BUT even if it does come out of left field, buck up, and try your best to get out of it. Personally, I'm never down -- I'm either up, or I'm getting up.

2. Complain, no. Whine and portray yourself as a victim of circumstances that must be rescued -- yeah.

3 & 4. No and it's racist to assume we ALL think that way. Sure some conservatives do, just as some liberals do. Racism runs the gamit and rears it's ugly head in all demographics.

5. NO but if you're poor it's probably because you're too lazy to get out and work hard enough to change your circumstances.

6. This one is hard for me because as a Christian I do believe that Jesus is the answer, but I don't generally toss that out in political discussions. I'll say no more on it.

Perhaps a lot of conservatives on this site are that irrational but the conservatives I know in Iowa are decent hardworking people who would help you out if you were in trouble. They just have different ideas about how our governent should be run. Also, many of them are not overly religious Christians, either.

You can't make assumptions about all conservatives or liberals based on what you see on TV or the internet.

They don't like Jews, They don't like anyone who speaks another language, they hate illegals, though they are the one who are most often their employers, It's OK for companies with no bid contracts to hire illegals and not pay a decent wage with money that is ours anyway, they have no issue with dumping 1/2 Trillion down a squatter named Iraq, but try to give some to children, the elderly, or the disabled! It’s ok to run up a 3 1/2 Trillion dollar debt as long as it doesn't go to help the poor, the sick, or even health insurance. They have no problem with the head of insurance company medical providers CEO's and others who get 25 million dollar salaries while they let women bleed to death on the floor of an ER, it doesn't bother them that 600 have become millionaires with blood money from Iraq, but pay there workers squat? That is Sacrilege!

They don't mind when Chrysler, the Airlines and others are bailed out by the government (that also includes FDR's bail-out of the Oil Industry when Oil was 4 cents a gallon), but to hell with their workers who are laid off as they are undeserving. They don't mind when pro football players are used by the NFL and come begging to us to get financial help. The NFL is worth Trillions. People like OJ get $125,000 a month from the NFL! Then they claim there is free enterprise when their hand is always out to raid our money, our social security trust fund. It is only Free enterprise when they say it is!

They want to make children have children, along with anyone else who wants to terminate a pregnancy, but belittle them and complain about them after the child ids born. They don’t get that they can’t have it both ways!

It is OK that 1/2 the homeless have full-time jobs, and 1/2 of America makes less than $25,000 a year, a wage they can't live on, and they don't have a clue that only 9.7 million out of 132 million taxpayers earn between $100,000 and $200,000! Most of the rest of us are relatively poor.

And most of all, they are the absolute best at Blaming the Victim. They think "free-enterprise" has no fall-out! Ask the unemployed if the system works! If they steal from the poor to give to the rich that’s ok, but when the rich start having to pay, that is "redistribution of wealth"!

I could go on forever. They are so misguided and most don't even realize they are about 2 paychecks from poverty!

Excuse me, we expect people to own up for their problems. Complaining is good, if you have been trying to come up with a solution for you problem. Blacks are not always bad or alway guilty, don't believe what you see in Hollywood movies. If you are poor you can get a job and work for a living, been there done that. Believing in God gives comfort in hard times, don't you believe? Our Government does not kill without cause, when we are attacked we fight back, would you not do that?
