HILARIOUS! Sorry, that's just funny. The name of the song is actually In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by the band Iron Butterfly. This song is actually quite old, 1968 was the release date. Some have even considered them the first heavy-metal band.

Inna gadda da vida - by Iron Butterfly. Never released as a single cause it was too long to fit on a 45 record (ask your parents what a 45 record is)

LOL - Bart Simpson did a version of it called 'In a Garden of Eden' He replaced the hymn books with the song, (written by I. Ron Butterfly) and the whole choir almost died of exhaustion from doing the 17 minute version.

Inagada Da Vida by Iron Butterfly.
The song was orginally titled "In the Garden of Eden"

However drunk on wine the lead singer slurred the words and the record label later changed the title to Inagada Da Vida

Iron Butterfly In the Garden Of Eden. The lead singer was pissed/stoned and couldn't pronounce it properly and it was released in the 60's as IN A GADDA DA VIDA .
Its also been parodied on the Simpsons as well.

Oh man....we're going back to the pyschedelic mid to late 60's!!! Iron Butterfly did the song---and it's called "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida".

And it's long, too---created so one could enjoy their "ride" or "trip". Put it like this: The Lettermen didn't do THIS song.

As a radio broadcaster in the day, when I heard "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" or the even longer classic rock song "Do You Feel Like We Do?" by Peter Frampton.....I reasoned either the broadcaster (we don't like being called "dee-jays") was in the bathroom.....or entertaining a fan late late at night.

Sadly, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" was Iron Butterfly's only big hit---but one that is historic and lives on strong to this day.

The myth about the title is just that. He certainly doesn't have any trouble pronouncing the rest of the lyrics.

And yes, Iron Butterfly was among the earliest proto-metal bands, but not the absolute first.

EDIT: By the way, the original title was supposed to be "In the Garden of Venus," not Eden. They just preferred the nonsense title.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida...Iron Butterfly (1968). This song was in the top ten charts for OVER a year. It was played to death. I remember it very well, I was in high school at the time.

In The Garden Of Eden? if this is what you are looking for the reason it isnt titled this is because the singer was unable to say those words as rumor has it he was a heavy druggie... He could only say avagada divido
