I was told once that i wasn't a good friend because I didn't tell her she had a booger hanging out of her nose.

I've been told I'm a good friend. I'm generous, empathetic, and loyal by nature, so I suppose that's true.
If it were someone I could have a laugh with over it, I'd just come right out and say, "You have a booger." Then tip up my head and say, "Check me." :)
But if not, I'd just give them a sympathetic smile and hand them a tissue.

Yes, you should have told her. Be honest with your friends even if it isn't what they want to hear. And, it would have been better for her to be embarrassed by you (her friend) rather than by someone she dislikes or a complete stranger or even worse if she didn't see it until later when she looked in a mirror and would have had no idea how long it had been there. Basically you increased her level of embarrassment by not stopping it when you could have. No one wants to be the bearer of bad news, but you should have helped her out on that one.

Yes I am I would tell my friend to get a tissue because she got a booger in her nose. just like that

Yeah, in some ways I'm too good a friend, the type that the wrong type of person wants to take advantage of.

your a bad friend for not telling her - you have to be comfortable with your friends enuff to tell them " hey dude, you have a bogga hanging out ur nose" - she would have done the same for you. And imagine if a guy had seen it, OMG - she would be devestated. sometimes we dont mean these things because its startling and almost embarrasing to say a thing like that - but mates r mates -

most of my friend resorted to drugs and so i kinda fell out of the circle. but a few i have kept in touch, i would normaly would have just hey , on your nose and left it at that maby had a little laugh, it not something to loose a friend over.
