My family has always eaten rabbit, squirrel and pheasant. We didn't have much money, so hunting put dinner on the table.
Once, when my dad and granddad were going pheasant hunting, my cousin (very young at the time) said, "Don't kill them, Dunkey (Uncle) Pete! Just swound 'em a little!" I don't think she quite grasped the concept.
I have had venison (deer)~sausage and jerky. Some of the guys I used to work with were hunters, several of them from the same region as my family. They, too, hunted to help put food on the table, not just for the thrill of it.

When I still ate meat, yes I did. We had venison, and game birds most often. The one thing I remember not liking at all as a young girl was bear meat.

I am a country girl. I've eaten deer, rabbit, squirrel, wild turkey, frog legs and even snake (just once).

I have eaten deer, elk, and rabbit.
Other popular ones around this area are buffalo and ostrich, but I personally haven't tried those ones.

funny you ask. my dad used to take me hunting when i was little and have me get the chuckers and doves with the dogs. hmmm... i eat wild turkey, chuckers, dove, deer, pork, etc
