Ask victims of Katrina or look at the Iraq War. I think we are ready to retire that's it. God help us.

While Bush has had some problems he has also faced one of the hardest reigns of president since I would argue Harry Truman. September 11th which was The Pearl Harbor of our times and I do not know how many Presidents would have been able to handle a situation like he did. He also had to go through Hurricane Katrina and The Greensburg Kansas tornado which were some of the most devastating disasters this country has seen in a long time.

I do not think that this country is ready for such a change. I do not think that this country is ready for a woman president yet even if she will have a former President in the office with her. I also do not think this country is ready for an African American because those two are just such a radical change from what we have known since the beginning of this country. Even though I do not like her, I think Hillary is the best bet so far for the first woman President.

The only candidates I would consider voting for at this point is Rudy, Mitt or Fred Thompson. I really don't want to see another Clinton in the White House. And as left wing as Hilary is, Barack is even more extreme.

It would be nice to see a moderate in the White House instead of a far left or a far right winger.

I think it's a lot of fuss about nothing. If Obama is elected, he won't be the first president with African-American blood. I don't particularly like Ms Clinton but if she is elected she'll probably do as well as anyone else. It isn't as though the president rules the country solo - there are advisors, congress, the House - lots of checks and balances.

I really think this isnot an issue.

When JFK was running for president, there were rumors flying that the Vatican would be running the country.
Richard Nixon was a Quaker.
So, a black president? A woman president? No big deal. We'll survive.

Oh my god- not a women in the whitehouse, NOO!!!!!
How will I function on a daily basis?! Will the sun still rise in the east? Will chicken still taste like chicken, or like everything else?
Americans can think they are ready or not all they want, fact of the matter is we could elect a half empty container of cottage cheese to the whitehouse and things would turn out about the same as any other election choice.

I think we're very ready. I believe it will be Sen. Clinton taking the oath in January '09.
