Anybody else disappointed that Hung won tonight? When the judges said his name I couldn't believe it. I had so hoped he would go home. His ego is ridiculous. My only hope is that he will get beat in the finale.

I agree. Nobody can say he doesn't have skills. They ALL do or they wouldn't be there. But still....lol

I like Hung a little more than I did in the beginning, but he still thinks he is the perfect chef (or perhaps he really is showing an inner lack of self-confidence because those are usually the ones who have to brag on themselves the most).

What really got me tonight was when he talked about his potatoes not being perfect because no one could help him plate. Like the others were twiddling their thumbs while watching Mr.Team Player's potatoes fall. Gimme a break.

I have to say I wasn't impressed with Casey at first (I liked Tre too much, I guess), but she has now become the one who can hopefully beat Hung. Go Casey!

the competition is about skill, this is not a high school popularity contest and with the in mind, Hung desered both wins on the last show.

I think Casey is good but like all the other contestents this crop completely lacks any interesting personalities- including Hung. we've seen this guy before in the form of a little white guy with a boufaunt (sp?) names marcel in season 2.

and Dale is a tool. he's setting himself up in all the confessionals as a guy with too much heart and compassion to ever win in this competition.
his complaint, that Hung have no advice after he went first- hung doesn't have to. the task was deconstructing the dish and reconstructing it, he has no obligation to give advice.

i say Dale or Brian is going home in the quickfire in the next episode- leaving 3 to compete in the final show and i truly hope that Dale is going!

and his proclaimation to be a "gay man" in NYC- proclaim it somewhere else, this is NYC! there's a gay man every 2 feet-being a gay man in NYC doesn't make Dale special or unique.

It was SO close between Hung and Casey on both the Quick Fire and the Elimination Challenges. I sort of wished that Casey would have won one of the two...but Hung prevailed.
He is an excellent chef (from what I can tell) and his cooking and presentation apparently properly protray his mastery of the culinary art.

I liked Hung in the beginning then ah not so much. I will recognize he has really great skills mostly with technique and his knife skills are really good.

I think his ego stems because he knows he's good. I will say one thing I really like his bit on immigrants because there are many in the culinary and restaurant industry.

He's better than Marcel.

Gee, I missed that tonight. I had things I had to get done. But, after reading that, I'm kind of glad I missed it. That truly bites!! Hung has had a very bad ego problem from the first day, always saying "my cooking is the best'', ''i'm the best''. Maybe he will get beat. We can only hope..:)

Ego or not he does have excellent cooking skills . And this is Top Chef after all.
In both of the challenges his skills were quite evident and both dishes were executed well.
Even if I don't like the guy I can't argue with that.

Totally agree. He needs to be beat so he can be put in his place....when the judges criticized his potato puff thing, he tried blaming on the others not helping him plate. He never helps anyone plate. He's selfish and secretly rejoices everytime someone screws up. Basically, he sucks. I think that Casey should have won. One of the guys on the show (can't remember who, I think Dale) said it best when he said you can't cook good food if you don't put love into it and you can't put love into it if you don't have a heart.

I'm not let down. Hung might not have the greatest personality but he's really good at what he does.

Hung is very skilled-but I don't think that he has respect for his fellow chefs.
