If you take life too seriously eat will eat you alive. You only live once so I say have as much fun as you can. Joke around a lot and wear a smile on your face.

I use to in my twenties. Then I had children and forgot the simple things in life. Now the children are all gone and I am back to the simple things in life, which now are harder to do. So yes, everyday, no matter how young or old you are stop and smell the roses. Give a smile, they dont cost you nothing. Say a kind word to everyone you meet. Then maybe this world will be a better place, thanks to you.

Nope, not me! But many take it very seriously indeed, and they're not necessarily wrong, just different. For example:

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)
A PSALM OF LIFE

TELL me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream ! —
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real ! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal ;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way ;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle !
Be a hero in the strife !

Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant !
Let the dead Past bury its dead !
Act,— act in the living Present !
Heart within, and God o'erhead !

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time ;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate ;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

I take it seriously where it needs to be taken seriously. Joking around the whole time is a waste...and it makes you naive. Have fun and be joyful, but be aware of reality too.

yeah i take existence heavily if it potential worrying what others think of, no longer making a fool of myself, performing impartial for human beings to boot as for myself, and it particularly is all hardwired into my techniques. sure even performing civil and calm while i'm around human beings, its important that i shop my well-known integrity. i'm def no longer this manner of individual to pass whooping and screaming at a straightforward or in spite of and then delve into cotton candy or different stuff as though i've got been on some thing. :)

Heck no! Unfortunately I think everyone else does. People need to lighten up and stop being so uptight about things that in the long run don't mean a thing.
