No. Iran does not have nuclear weapons--and won't for years, if ever. They are not a threat to the United States, despite Bush's claims. Does anyone really expect Congress--especially a Democratic Congress--or the American people to buy that line of BS a second time?

For what? Violating the NPT? We are violating the NPT!

And they aren't even really violating it!

"1. Nothing in this Treaty shall be interpreted as affecting the inalienable right of all the Parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination and in conformity with articles I and II of this Treaty.

2. All the Parties to the Treaty undertake to facilitate, and have the right to participate in, the fullest possible exchange of equipment, materials and scientific and technological information for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Parties to the Treaty in a position to do so shall also cooperate in contributing alone or together with other States or international organizations to the further development of the applications of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, especially in the territories of non-nuclear-weapon States Party to the Treaty, with due consideration for the needs of the developing areas of the world."

No we should not. It's not that we should because of some crap that politicians might or might not engineer, it's who their allies are. They spend an unholy amount of money purchasing military hardware amongst other things from Russia and if we invade we are upsetting Russia's economy/military budget.
We cannot afford to have Russia against us either.
Every country has it's strengths and weaknesses. Having Russia is an allied strength that we can not afford to lose.

Try and ask the little children.
Do they know of an old saying " Children are to be seen and not to be heard"
Instead of going to school and growing up in taking up salt.
They want to play the "Big Boys" game with "The Russian Roulette".
Luke 9.25
Now they mess up the "Big Boys" with the cane coming after them.
What will happen to their great Ameircan dreams turning into smokes and ashes. with "Shattered dreams"
With some may have to slleep it out without basic amenities.
All for the glory and ghostly stories of a one man's own great dreams as "King of the Jew" with crown of thorns and two empty hands in messing up "The king and I" with the "Big Boys".

What do you think?
