If I counted correctly, I have had 13. Of course, I'm a Baby Boomer, quite a bit older than the average person here unless I go to the Senior Citizens section.
My final two jobs lasted for 10 years each.
EDIT: Oops! I see that people are counting a job or two that I didn't include, one of them being babysitting. Let me try a list:
babysitting
burger joint
waitress
factory
bookstore
proofreader
waitress/carhop (A & W)
schoolteacher (the Reagan recession years~baaaaaad! schools consolidated~1/4- and 1/8-time teachers, etc.)
waitress
waitress
clerk/typist/copyeditor at newspaper
prep cook/counterperson at fast-food place (while waiting for other job to be set up)
Quality Control at printing company
I fueled semi-trucks for an evening but wasn't athletic enough for this job. I'm 5'1", and climbing a truck to clean the windows was like scaling a mountain!
I sold Rainbows (a type of vacuum cleaner) for a week. That was an awful experience though the product is good.
I actually might be forgetting something because that's a lot of years to dredge up memories of.
