Yes .. I sure do. The American Cancer Society, the Make a Wish Foundation, Catholic Charities, Disabled American Veterans (my dad is a Vietnam Vet) and also to local homeless shelters and my church.
As a teacher I also do my best to encourage my students every year to get involved and to help other less fortunate than themselves. I am the student council adviser and we raise money and food each year for the local homeless shelter and for the Foundation for Children with Cancer (Hats On Day!!) This year we are also going to do a local blood drive for our community.
Giving back to others is the only way to live a truly rewarding and happy life. =)

Demetrius, yes, have done volunteer charity work and found good and bad aspects, I volunteered in a very poor area where we gave out food to Latinos mostly, it was difficult to accept the mothers with many children asking for food while I saw their husbands/boyfriends, standing outside the gate drinking beer and joking. You almost feel guilty eating after hearing some of the sad tales these people tell you, and yet you must keep in mind that there are deadbeats out there.

II sponsor a child through the Christians Childrens Fund and I give to the local animal shelter.

more like robbed. I got one of those UNICEF boxes for Halloween but kept the $10.00 in change I made. When I was younger I made weekly contributions to my local Jehovah's Witness congergation tho.

yes... donations to the local animal shelter, Goodwill, domestic violence shelter, homeless shelter....
I do it because I want to, not because someone pushes it on me.... I give to the ones I care about

I donate clothes or other items like food. I have even donated money.
