Recent reports state that AK47 isn't too fond of Jerry Sloan and that he wants out of Utah.

The Lakers could use a defensive-minded guy like him to upgrade their defense. With those long wingspans, Andrei can block shots and grab boards. Besides, there isn't a better place to use that one-woman-a-year allowance than Hollywood. And wouldn't adding a legit player like Kirilenko appease Kobe a bit?

Maybe the Lakers could give up Vlad Rad and another (or couple more) player(s) to get him. I know for sure Radmanovic would love to go back to Utah and break his other arm.

That would be a great addition for the Lakers. AK 47 would be a great addition for any team he played for. The Only problem is the Lakers management is useless. Kobe has whined his whole career. I usually dont see eye to eye with him. He had the greatest teammate any one could ask for when he played with Shaq. He didnt appreciate it until after Shaq was ran out of town. That being said, Kobe is right this time. He is the leagues best player and his management is wasting some of the best years of career to sell tickets without making a serious run at a championship. The Lakers could have had Boozer, Baron Davis, Jason Kidd and they did nothing. Now they couldnt get those players if they gave up half their team.

Because there over the salary cap and they don't have players other than Kobe and maybe Odom and Bynum that possess a significant amount of trade value. Besides, hardly any other NBA team feels sorry for the Lakers and they don't want to help out at their own expense. Teams in the NBA can't make deals for the sake of making deals, unless your the Knicks and look how all that turned out.

When a player like Kobe takes up half of your salary cap, it's going to be hard to put solid pieces around him to contend with. If Shaq were still there, they still would be a first-round team at best.

The Lakers would have to go into a full-blown rebuilding mode and go through a few lean years to really have something to work with for the future. That includes trading Kobe and getting some young players to build around. I guess that rebuilding is never an option for the Lakers and that's why they'll suck even longer.

I don't know. I look at AK's career stats, and they seem rather ordinary. Career averages of:
12.9 Pts
6.2 Rebs
2.6 Asst

Last year, he took a step backwards with averages of:
8.3 Pts
4.7 Rebs
2.9 Asst

And for this, the Jazz want Shawn Marion in return?

Yes, at his best, he's very talented, but the only way I make this trade if I'm the Lakers is to make it a multi-team deal; where I get more coming back for elsewhere.

Anyone who simply looks at the numbers would say that Lamar Odom, over the course of his career, is a better player. If I have to give up someone like that to make salaries match, I might as well package Lamar, Kwame, a Jaravis Criitenton, rights to Marc Gasol and a future 1st round pick to another team. Let that team send a coveted player(s) to the Jazz, then get Kirilenko and other players in return

because of the fact they're a great abode team (37-4), and extremely pathetic on the line (17-24). till they learn how to be greater consistent removed from Salt Lake city, they heavily isn't a respected contender. So except they're able to safeguard the actual seed, they're going to proceed to have issues interior the playoffs. i've got been severe on Utah for a pair of seasons now, and that they proceed to underwhelm me. They regarded great against he Warriors interior the playoffs 2 yrs decrease back, then went to San Antonio and carefully folded. Then final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days against the Lakers they gave an extremely lackluster attempt. i presumed they could provide the Lakers some opposition, even yet it wasn't even close. i think of the Jazz has lots to instruct, and that they should start up via ending above .500 on the line. till they try this, they gained't be taken heavily. EDIT: you say 2 yrs in the past they have been a game removed from the Finals. actual, they lost that sequence to San Antonio 4-a million. It wasn't even close.

I'd rather see the Lakers get JO.. They need post help.. Odom is not big enough, Kwame drops the ball, and Bynum hasn't showed much skill at all... JO is a proven player and plus AK47 is injury prone, for the last couple of years he hasn't been able to play much due to injury. I say maybe they should trade 3 players for him and a 2nd round draft pick since everybody seems to think the Lakers need to overpay anybody to make a deal.

If they messed up big-time by letting go the best talent available this summer (Remember they lost Garnett to Boston because of their inactivity or is it incapacity? have to question the management about that) what makes you think they'll move now.

I am sorry for this comment but I've given up with the seemingly slow-thinking brains of the Lakers management. See there were a lot of available talent this summer but they didn't make any moves. Too bad for Kobe with no help, there is no chance this team would move forward.

Unless Kobe stirs up that trade demand again it looks unlikely that the Lakers would do any more moves this off-season.

Have to say that I am truly sorry at how things have worked out for them.

wow that sounds like a totally legit situation for the Lakers and the Jazz. They wouldnt even have to part ways with the golden child..."pause not" (borat) Andrew Bynum. I would like to see this deal happen with AK47 going for maybe Lamar Odom and a draft pick or 2.

i would rather have jermaine o'neal than andrei kirilenko. i don't want a player who always destroy my rotation because one of my main players will sit out because of injuries. JO has the skills to take over the lakers show if kobe isn't around.

They should. I think maybe for K.Brown, Rad-mon and Bynum! Bynum only cuz of that whole Kobe thing. But they should mos-def get another F out of it! But try and get J.O. first, then Pau!
