Dogs all over the universe sniff butt!!!!!! Dog butts, cat butts, human butts . . . You name it.
Just be thankful that it is not the way humans say hello!!!!

YES-IT'S HIS WAY OF SAYING HELLO-MINE DOES IT TOO-ALSO DOES IT TO PEOPLE THAT COME TO THE DOOR-A DOG WILL SNIFF ANY THINGS BUTT TO SAY HELLO.

Yes it is, then he sniffs around and reads the pee mail left by others and responds by hiking his leg and leaving his own msg.
