What they do!)
(They smile in your face)
All the time they want to take your place
The back stabbers (back stabbers)
(They smile in your face)
All the time they want to take your place
The back stabbers (back stabbers)
All you fellows who have someone and you really care, yeah, yeah
Then it's all of you fellows who better beware, yeah yeah
Somebody's out to get your lady
A few of your buddies they sure look shady
Blades are long, clenched tight in their fist
Aimin' straight at your back
And I don't think they'll miss
(What they do!)
(They smile in your face)
All the time they want to take your place
The back stabbers (back stabbers)
I keep gettin' all these visits from my friends, yeah, what they doin to me
They come to my house again and again and again and again, yeah
So are they there to see my woman
I don't even be home but they just keep on comin'
What can I do to get on the right track
I wish they'd take some of these knives off my back
(They smile in your face)
All the time they want to take your place
The back stabbers (back stabbers)
Low down... dirty...
(What they do!)
(They smile in your face)
Smiling faces... smiling faces sometimes tell lies (Back stabbers)
(They smile in your face)
I don't need... low down, dirty bastards (Back stabbers)

I would like to believe that most all of our congressmen and other elected officials were community-minded at some time in their lives. However, politicians by their very nature, are only figureheads. They are at the mercy of those who finance their efforts and get them elected to office. Too many of them make trade-offs for political ambition. The likes of Pelosi, Reed, Durbin and Clinton come to mind as classic examples of this. What they all fail to understand is that often these trade-offs involve sacrificing their own standards and good name.

I can say I call them, e-mail and meet with them and I am active in pressing bills and other issues like HR 106 and the war, and illegal aliens. Yes that is illegal aliens not immigration for the PC police. It is what it is the truth from the truth.

I highly recommend others do the same it is our Government and our and our children's future and to trust any of them is a fools act. Trust your gut when you search out the truth which you can find here in what I say not what I say to do but to find out for your self.

I guess I do not share your low opinion of politicians. I think some of them actually believe the principles they push. Of course the reality is that in our system of checks and balances, they can't always do what they say they will do.

I think Americans should become more informed about our US Constitution so they can discern when a politician is making a promise they cannot possibly keep.
