what did your mucous plug look/feel like?

i've been sick all day and earlier when i was throwing up (dry heaving) i felt something in my underwear and when i got up i went to the bathroom and there was a big glob of thick whitish clear discharge, different from what i'm used to. i heard it was supposed to kind of look like bloody snot but i read today that it can be different than that. so...

what was it like when you lost your mucous plug?

I didn't spot at all when I passed my plug either. I didn't feel it. But I too was dry heaving and everything. And I ended up having him less than a week later.

that is just your discharge most likely, you are probably close to labor if it has changed, mine were both brownish, I get the white stuff whenever I throw up in large amounts the contracting of the muscles in your gut for you to heave compact and push it out in a larger amount than you are used to but I would call the birth center just to be sure. I always lost mine about 3- 4 weeks before birth.

Mine looked like a big glob of snot with a little blood. I lost mine with my first baby about 2 weeks before he was born.

mine was kinda funny because i sat on the toilet and heard plop, and thought something important fell out, it was about the size of a quarter and mostly white with a yellowish brownish tint, i never had a bloody show!!
